Who will handle my books?
Your books will be handled by one of our staff bookkeepers, all of whom are located in the USA. Your books will typically have a primary bookkeeper who will be assisted by their peers and reviewed by management regularly.
How do I know that my books will be done properly?
Our highly trained team follows an ongoing internal review process which includes regular review of accounts by management which significantly reduces the chance for unresolved problems in your books before the end of a period. Furthermore, included in the price of our service is a pre-year end review by a partnered Certified Public Accountant to ensure that your books are wholly correct and ready for tax season.
How hands-on do I have to be when working with Ballast?
We are a full-service bookkeeper, meaning that we will handle any and all categorizations, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements necessary to maintain your books. We will contact you if we need to access an invoice or receipt to clarify a transaction or encounter any discrepancies in your books, although this is typically infrequent. Otherwise, your primary responsibility will be maintaining internal files of your business transactions as is mandated by law and/or is expedient for your operations.
What accounting software do you use?
We specialize in Quickbooks Online.
Do you offer payroll services?
We do not process payroll, as we believe it's best to use a third-party payroll processor, which is not subject to human error.
