Keaton Ramsay
Co-founder
Keaton Ramsay helped found Ballast Bookkeepers in 2025. He grew up in beautiful Palos Verdes, California. Keaton graduated from Montana State University with a degree in business administration. He also studied at the Prefectural University of Kumamoto in Japan, where he learned Japanese and studied management methods pioneered by Japanese Industry. Back home in California, Keaton enjoys his free time hiking and spending time with his family.
John Duston
CO-FOUNDER
John and his family live in Santa Barbara, CA. He grew up in Palos Verdes, CA.
John graduated from UCSB in 2018 with a degree in Accounting & Economics. He earned his CPA license in 2019.
When he's not working on his businesses, he enjoys being outside in nature. His hobbies include sailing, canoeing, biking, skiing, hiking, and camping.
John also enjoys baking and cooking new recipes.
